Make a wish and you might just get it.. it really is possible with new age technology and development. The lifestyle and economic status of society at large has seen major growth, and this is one of the main reasons that there are so many professional platforms for youngsters to choose a career from.
Architecture, engineering, medical, accountancy, humanities, fine art, honours were the subjects for a Master’s for the earlier generation. Getting a Job in some organisation. preferably a government one, was the primary agenda. The current scenario is totally different, and youngsters nowadays want to build a career in a field where they can look forward to self-employment with getting a job in the private sector, specifically an MNC, also being a sound option.

Globalisaton has added a lot to the scenario, and the transition through time is the evidence of how things have changed in the last couple of decades. Today, design is considered to he a high-end profession, which is not just a high paying career but name and fame are also the additional perks. However this profession is not for everybody, as it requires lot of anticipation, hard work and pure commitment. Their is no thumb rule for design, no designated right or wrong, but the quality of the end product defines a design as a good or bad one.
An interior designer expected to be an expert in three major streams. namely design, construction and aesthetics, as all these three factors. are involved in Interior and exterior design, material and engineering for construction, and drawing and art for aesthetics, Interior design is considered to be a branch of architecture, which has been an evergreen field since the flourish of civilisations. The contemporary format even in the field of architecture is considered to have a range of super specialisations, as customised needs are growing for making ready-made as well as tailor-made spaces.
Interior design caters to a target audience that is conscious about their lifestyle choices, and the also need appropriate spaces that reflect their personalities, So the study of design does not only incorporate the technical knowledge of design and construction bout also need studying of Psychologies of an individual, as well as masses.
The prerequisite for opting for the engineering or architecture streams requires a base of physic, chemistry, mathematics. Sometimes it is observed that students studying in the 10th standard is not mature enough to understand the importance of the marks scored in the examination. These marks becomes a deciding factor for students to select their careers.
The design field Is free from all these complexities, and there Is no Preconception of any educational limitations, in terms of what stream the student had in senior secondary level. Moreover, age is not a crucial factor to opt for the design stream.
The student however, needs to have a degree of knowledge about the basic and essential elements regarding this profession. A student who is willing to get into the design profession, must not get lured into it, on the basis of the glamour he/she foresees in it. These elements should be rated in a customised manner, and the student who is looking forward to making a career in design needs to make sure that the profession he/she is looking for is his/her cup of tea…
